Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Barber Acupuncture PLLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on drjordanbarber.com (the “Site”), and how you can control them.

This Site is an informational and professional-contact Site. It does not run advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. The technologies we do use are limited to what keeps the Site working and protects its forms from abuse. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information. They are widely used to make websites function, to remember your preferences, and to keep sites secure. “Similar technologies” include things like local storage and tokens that serve comparable purposes. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (“first-party”) or by a third-party service the site relies on (“third-party”).

How we use cookies

We use only a small number of cookies and similar technologies, and only for two reasons: to make the Site function correctly, and to protect our contact and inquiry forms from automated spam and abuse. We do not use cookies to advertise to you, to track you across other websites, or to build a marketing profile about you.

Cookies and technologies we use

Category Set by Purpose
Strictly necessary WordPress (first-party) Core cookies used only when an administrator logs in to manage the Site. They are not set for ordinary visitors browsing the Site.
Security / anti-spam Cloudflare Turnstile (third-party) Helps confirm that a form is being submitted by a real person rather than an automated bot. Turnstile is designed to be privacy-preserving and is not used to track you across sites.
Functional Gravity Forms (first-party) Supports form functionality, such as correctly processing and validating a submission. These are tied to using a form, not to browsing.
Performance Site infrastructure (first-party) Our performance and delivery tooling (for example, Perfmatters and our host/CDN) may use lightweight technical measures to serve pages quickly and reliably. These do not identify you or track your activity across other sites.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook/Meta pixels, or any advertising or retargeting cookies on this Site. Our understanding of how the Site performs in search comes from Google Search Console, which reports aggregated, non-identifying data and does not place tracking cookies on your device.

Third-party cookies

Some features rely on third-party services, and those services may set their own cookies or process technical information when the feature is used. The main example is Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms. If a page includes embedded third-party content (for example, a link or button to an external retailer, publisher, or media outlet) and you interact with it, that third party may set cookies under its own policy, which we do not control.

Managing and disabling cookies

You are in control of cookies. Most web browsers let you view the cookies stored on your device, delete them, and block some or all cookies through the browser’s settings. The steps differ by browser, and the “Help” or “Privacy” section of your browser will explain how to do this for your version.

Because the cookies this Site uses are limited to essential functionality and form security, blocking them will not affect ordinary browsing of the Site, but it may prevent a contact or inquiry form from submitting successfully. You can also delete cookies already stored on your device at any time.

Consent

Where required by law, we rely on your consent for any non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary and security cookies do not require consent because the Site cannot function safely without them. By continuing to use the Site, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
