Dr. Jim Chialtas gave me a full hour on A Functional Approach to work through erectile dysfunction properly, which is rare for a subject that usually gets a punchline instead of a discussion.

We defined ED and its degrees, separated myth from mechanism, and drew the distinctions that matter clinically between performance anxiety, behavioral drivers such as problematic pornography use, and physical causes.

We covered whether ED always comes back to circulation, how Chinese medicine frames the problem across circulation, hormones, mood, and metabolic disease, and what conventional medicine offers, including how PDE5 inhibitors upregulate eNOS to improve blood flow and where the concerns about iNOS sit.

We also previewed findings from my dry needling versus TCM acupuncture research, and flagged the dry needling conversation as deserving its own episode.
