WBRZ’s Tuesday’s Health Report in Baton Rouge picked up the vacation-burnout interview, and quoted me at some length.

The line they pulled is the one I keep repeating to patients: we just continue working, it is just a different kind of work. Racing between the cathedral and the restaurant and the next sight is not resting.

The segment also covered what actually helps, which is unglamorous: consistent meal and sleep times, early morning sun to reset the circadian rhythm, hydration, and magnesium and potassium rich foods like dark leafy greens, avocados, bananas and pumpkin seeds.
